Job Description:
- Manage and oversee the daily activities of 5-10 drivers
- Constantly coordinate with both onsite and offsite drivers
- Oversee the overall management of the transportation team
- Ensure compliance and safety standards are being upheld
- Develop, execute, and manage performance metrics for the transportation of units
- Fine-tune best practices of the transportation process to speed up the overall landing time of vehicles
- Hire, train, motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of all department staff
- Working closely with Reconditioning Coordinators to develop daily plans of action
Desired skills, experience and abilities:
- University or College degree/diploma (Supply chain/logistics education is preferable)
- Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently
- Strong scheduling, dispatching and organizational skills
- Excellent computer skills
- 3+ years of Transportation Management experience
- Demonstrated leadership ability in coaching, developing, and leading a team through continuous change
