NOTE: This is a remote, full-time permanent, work-from-home position and is open to all applicants from across Canada. We will provide you with everything you need to succeed in your role.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Current stack: PHP/Laravel, Python, Vue/Nuxt, Docker, Jenkins, Serverless/SAM, Elastic Search, Redis 
  • Developing in-house, and customer-facing applications
  • Acting as a mentor to developers at all levels (Sr/Int/Jr)
  • Backend work primarily with PHP/Python
  • Work on 3rd party integrations, primarily with systems in the financial/auto industry


What You Should Already Have:

  • Currently making key technical/architectural design decisions 
  • Diagraming/documenting technical decisions for your backend team
  • 8 + years of professional experience with either PHP, Python or other OOP based languages
  • 6 + years experience with Linux
  • Solid understanding of what a good API design is: REST/GraphQL


Nice to haves:

  • AWS knowledge, especially the serverless stack (SAM, Serverless)
  • NoSql experience in Dynamodb, MongoDB, Cassandra
  • E-commerce (Shopify) experience and payment gateway integrations 
  • Payment gateway integrations
